What is CrossFit?
CrossFit is a principal core strength and conditioning program that consists of “constantly varied functional movements performed at relatively high intensity." 1 Drop Box CrossFit’s commitment is to incorporate the principles of CrossFit by programming universal scalability workouts to challenge individuals regardless of physical fitness experience. Without changing the focus of the workout, a new Drop Box CrossFit member can do the same WOD (workout of the day) as a seasoned crossfitter but with reduced load and intensity. By design, CrossFit is a fitness regimen that is broad, general, and inclusive. CrossFit aims to improve an individual’s competency in the 10 general physical skills of fitness. They are cardiovascular/respiratory, endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy. 2
